Such a caring and friendly team in lymphodema clinic. I cannot praise them enough for the care and compassion I receive from them. I would certainly give them a full recommended to be looked after and cared by the team here.

Staff whether they are medical, nursing, clinical or volunteers are extremely compassionate and caring.

I totally understand the reason behind the four visit rule, but to deny a spouse/partner/mother/father the option to return for a second visit in the afternoon is wrong, especially when their relative is very poorly or dying.

Response from Cynthia Spencer Hospice

Thank you for your feedback. We have constantly kept visiting rules under review within NHFT and within the Hospices. We have to balance the needs of patients to have access to visitors whilst also ensuring that patients, visitors and staff are kept as safe as possible from the possibility of transmission of COVID19. We will take into account your concerns regarding close family members being allowed only a single visit per day, and hope that once new guidance is released from NHS England this will allow us the opportunity to expand our visiting further.

Have a reading light above the bed/chair.

Response from Cynthia Spencer Hospice

Thank you for your feedback. I have clarified that all beds do have a reading light above them. This is quite a small light in the ceiling and therefore some distance from the bed or chair. The ward has small clip on lights that they can provide for patients should they wish to read. We will ensure the ward team offer these lights to all patients to ensure they can read with some comfort.

Thank you for your feedback, unfortunately I am not sure what this feedback is focusing on so is difficult to be able to answer. All staff within the team should introduce themselves to patients at shift changes, and we will ensure that staff are reminded of the need to do this.
